CRUISERS
We want to thank our Commander Howie, Adjutant Pete Muller, Ann-Marie, Post Officers, including Auxiliary, S.A.L., Riders, Honor Guard, food and beverage staff for their tremendous support for the Cruisers. We appreciate you and how well you received us, offering assistance when and where needed. This post is the best in the country because of ALL Of YOU.
We had a change in leadership recently as Director Rod Dimon stepped down and Membership Officer Red Hynch stepped in as Director. We remain ever so grateful for all Rod has done.
Commander Howie wrote a letter that we want to share at this time:
“I would like to thank Rod for his great job of getting the Cruisers up and running. He and Red jumped on my email about the Cruisers. Not only is Rod busy with the Legion Chaplin duties, he fulfills E board duties, helping people with funerals, people with AA issues as well as many other clubs and functions. With his and Reds leadership we now have 63+ Cruisers and our Post has 20 new members, as well as, more SAL and Auxiliary members. Thank you for your extraordinary efforts in establishing the Post 159 Cruisers!”
The Cruiser’s calendar is filling up with many events and parades. You will find us at the Post the 4th Saturday for breakfast hosting car clubs and guest speakers. This is open to all. We also enjoy an evening social at the Post the 2nd Saturday in an effort to make friends with fellow cruisers and other post veterans. Once in a while we’ll be hosting various Doo Wop Oldies Bands such as The Goldtones. If we are not at the Post, you’ll find us in our classics, antiques, street rods and exotics traveling life’s road finding joy in the journey ~ Vets cruising with Vets for Vets. The Cruisers want more veterans to find their way home to Post 159. A worthwhile mission, wouldn’t you agree. Along with Service ~ Patriotism ~ Camaraderie.
We are a band of brothers and sisters, for God and Country.
Mona Hynch, Cruiser Secretary
