We welcome all females to join us in our efforts to support our military and our community.  Below is just a sample of the activities we have had in the past year.  We take great pride in our accomplishments and hope to do even better next year.  Our meetings are held at the post on the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 4:00 p.m.  Please consider joining us.

Historically, the Auxiliary has NO MEETING FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST.  For those of us who are new Officers and E-Board members, this is great news.  The break gives us a chance to get our year organized by preparing our proposed budget and our calendar of events for the upcoming 2018 – 2019 year.

The biggest change in our budget involves an increase in membership dues from $30.00 to $35.00.  This increase is necessary to meet our financial obligations to both the Department of Florida and National.  Our membership assessments to Department and National have increased $5.00 per member.  Our Unit increase will enable us to maintain a balanced budget.

We are working on several dinner dances in the upcoming months, some dates have already been set.  November 10th will be our chance to wear our cowboy boots for our Country Western event.  On December 8th we will kick off the season with our annual Christmas Party.  January 19th gives us the honor to recognize our Veterans here at our Post with our USO celebration.  February 9th is your chance to share a fun evening of dinner and dancing with your Valentine.  April 6th will be our “Farewell” Luau to all our snowbirds as they head back North for the summer.  We hope to add a few more events to our calendar.  We will keep you posted.

Events that are planned by your Auxiliary are always intended to provide a great evening of entertainment, good food and great friends.  We also need to remember that each of these events is a “fund raiser”.  All profits from these events are given back to Veterans, Community and Youth programs.  This year, much of the monies raised will be earmarked to help with repairs that are need here at our home Post.

We hope to see you at our September 11th meeting.  We will have a short prayer service in memory of that fateful day in 2001.
